What is Baking Soda Blasting?

Soda Blasting is an environmentally friendly way of removing paint, dirt, coatings, and other surface contaminants without causing damage to the surfaces being cleaned.  Similar in concept to sand blasting, the soda blasting machine uses compressed air to deliver small pieces of baking soda to the surface being cleaned.

When the media(soda) come into contact with the surface being cleaned, the soda pieces explode from the speed of the compressed air pushing it.  During this process, it removes or cleans the surface with out damage.

On an Abrasiveness scale, Soda is very low(2.5 out of 10) compared to sands and other type of media.  That allows us to use this safe, nontoxic, and FDA approved media on numerous surfaces.

Also we can inject water while blasting with soda to reduce dust, and to control the level of surface etching.  This allows us to modify the blasting for numerous surfaces and to come up with custom/speciality cleaning of sensitive surfaces.
